Vice President, Strategic Planning and Operations

Cecilia is Vice President of Strategic Planning and Operations at Chroma Medicine. She also serves on the Board of Advisors for the Boston Museum of Science. Prior to joining Chroma, Cecilia served as the Vice President of Strategy and Operations at a 4:59 NewCo at 5am Ventures spearheading company building and development of scientific strategy. She also previously served as the Senior Director of Platform Strategy and Operations at Editas Medicine where she played a key role in bridging scientific, strategic and operational functions. Before Editas Medicine, Cecilia oversaw technology transfer, regulatory submissions, manufacturing operations and commercial launch of company products as Senior Director of Program Management and Operations at T2 Biosystems. She has also held various leadership roles at Predictive Biosciences and began her career as a Research Investigator at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research. Cecilia received her B.A. in biology from Boston University, holds a Ph.D. and M.B.A. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and completed her postdoctoral training at Children’s Hospital Boston.
