Vice President, Data Sciences

Sahar is Vice President, Data Sciences at Chroma Medicine where she leads the computational biology, computational engineering, and sequencing teams. Prior to joining Chroma, she was a Director of Computational Biology at Sana Biotechnology. Before Sana, she worked at the Chief Data Office at Sanofi and at the Novartis Institutes of Biomedical Research leading computational biology and computational engineering efforts. Before joining the biopharma industry, Sahar was at the McDonnell Genome Institute at Washington University in St. Louis leading nematode genomics and human microbiome projects. She has a background in computer science with a focus on computational biology and machine learning and holds a B.E. from the University of Madras, Chennai, an M.S. from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque and an M.B.A. from the BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo.
